Ridin' High

We figured out how to shave some time off our Snow King hikes by biking over to the base. Here's Tyler and Keith after the hike, ready to head for home. Tyler just woke up from a 20 min. nap in the pack! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day!

The Laakmann Residence

Here it is! The almost finished product. Keith has been project managing for this house since we moved here in September 2005. And now the Laakmann's are moved in! Hard to believe this magnificent mansion is almost complete!

Riclyn Comes to Jackson

Well, it's been awhile since the last entry, so we'll try to recap the last week or so. Tyler came down with a cold when we got back from MT. With a stuffy nose and nagging cough, he's been very restless at night, so both Mom and Toddler are a little tired out. He's feeling much better today, though. Riclyn Resco came to town Friday. She is a college student from Kansas, out to work at Jackson Hole Whitewater for the summer. It is very nice to have her here and Tyler has really taken to her. Here he's selling her a new running shoe!

Takin' It to the Top

One of Tyler's favorite things these days is climbing stairs. Here he is with a lid to a frying pan and he made it all the way to the top with that thing! He loves to push stuff around on the wood floor and then when he catches site of the stairs you can see his gears start to turn. Before you know it he's drug whatever he's been playing with half way up and he's making little grunting noises all the way just to make sure you know what he's up to! We'll breath a sigh of relief though, when he learns to come back down!

Sunny Sunday Drive

Tyler took a good nap this morning between Jackson and Palisades. We stopped there to pick up Josie on our way into Idaho Falls. Here he's sleeping piecefully with his soft litte bear, Fuzzy-Wuzzy.

Snow in May?!

We woke up to fresh snow this morning! It stayed cold all day, so we worked indoors. We were also shocked and saddened to hear the news of Chuck Morris' car accident in Montana this morning. Chuck will always have a special place in out hearts.

A Busy Boy's Buddies

Tyler's buddies, Ruff-Ruff, Fuzzy-Wuzzy, and Moosy-Moose kept him quite busy today. He took them for rides in his car, drug them around on the floor, and told them lots of jibberish. Tyler took his first unassisted, accidental, very wobbly step today, when Mommy pulled his little walker/car just out of reach! Mommy was very excited, however Tyler seemed quite unaware of what he had done to cause such joy and praise!

A Walk to the Library

Tyler and I enjoyed a sunny walk to the library this afternoon. We checked out 11 more books. It seems like if we check out lots of books, we usually end up with 4 or 5 real winners. One of our favorite so far is "The Boy Who Loved Bananas" - a very funny story about a very tipical boy.
