Developing Vocabulary

"Pooh i's honey!" (Pooh likes honey.)

"Dees a Daddy's!" (These are Daddy's.)

Today's new word was, "peepoh" (people). Though he recognizes and can correctly point out colors, when you ask him to "say the color," it's always "booh" (blue). This is true for numbers, everything is "two." This works great for "Tyler, how old are you?" but it's also his resply for, "What time will Daddy be home?" and "I wonder how cold it is outside." When he's counting it's, "two, two, tree.....jibberish.....two!" It's been so much fun to hear him learning new words and then putting them together!

Planting Seeds

Our garden will be quite small this year, but we are excited to have one none the less. Tyler and I planted tomatos, sweet bell peppers, hot peppers, sweet onions and green onions in these little cups this morning, so we could get the plants started indoors. Hopefully by the 1st of June, it will be safe to transplant them outside. We're calling this our little "salsa garden."

Bozeman Weekend - Part 2

Tyler turns 2 again! He has had so much fun with his bithdays this year!

Yum, yum, chocolate cake and double chocolate fudge ice cream. This must have sent him into a sugar induced coma - he went off to his nap time and slept for 2 hours!

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for the cool train! We've also been enjoying the books and the new jacket!

A good relaxing foot soak with Mom. Yum, our feet smelled like peppermint and were so relaxed when we were done.

We spent a relaxing Sun. afternoon at Kay and Todd's before hitting the road for home. Here Tyler layed down for a nice head and neck massage from Grandma. Lucky boy!

Bozeman Weekend - Part 1

Kay, Aiden, Tyler and I had a fun morning in town.

Aiden and Tyler sacked out after lunch on our way through Walmart. They even took good naps after we got them home - guess we really wore them out!

Oregon in April - Part 2

Okay guys, it's a little cold to be hanging out at the beach. Let's go shopping!

The Ten Grands Concert - Dale and Kari arranged for a baby sitter for this very special occasion and, oh boy, we sure enjoyed the show!

The concert was at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in down town Portland. The featured pianists were: Tom Grant, Michael Allen Harrison, Buddy Greco, Janice Scroggins, Barbra Roberts, Rosa Li, George Mitchell, Michail Kaeshammer, Katerina Kramarchuk, and John Nilson. We enjoyed a solo performance from each artist as well as a quintet, quartet, and of course all ten grands at once. There was even some vocal parts sung by a small highschool gospel choir and the grand finale featured two professional singers, Timothy Greenidge and Katie Harman.

Thank you to our fearless and very talented baby sitters: Tom, Stacy, and Seth, and below, Denis and Jen.

Thank you John, Karrie, and Sarah for the wonderful gift and cake for Tyler. We enjoyed our short stay with you and can't wait to get back and spend a little longer there.

Pit stop in Coeur d'Alene for a little energy boost. Vanilla Latte for Keith, Chai-Soy Latte for Melinda and don't worry...

...the little chumpers was not left out. We had had a realatively uneventful trip (aside from hitting a deer - very minimal damage to the front bumper), arriving home just after 10pm, unloaded the car, and were so glad to stretch out in bed for a good night's sleep.

Oregon in April

We left Jackson a record half hour and one minute over our scheduled departure time. Our average over the past 10 years has been somewhere around 2 hours late, so this is a big accomplishment for the us. We had a great trip to Boise to spend the night and next morning with Keith's cousin Lenora and hubby Eric.

Stopping for a break somewhere between Boise and Sherwood, OR. We arrived at Dale and Kari's around 10:30pm. The next morning we met Kari's sister Jeri at the Portland airport and then stopped for a bite to eat.

In the afternoon, we drove out to Lincoln City on the coast. We had some really yummy seafood at Pier 101. Then we walked down on the beach.
