Gardening - Days 1 & 2

I'm excited to be growing a little vegetable and herb garden this year. I used the old chimney/fireplace stones to make the border and a walkway through the garden. That was Sat. (Day 1). Then yesterday (Day 2), the boys helped me turn over some sod and work the soil a bit. What fun just to sit in the dirt, dig for worms, and throw clumps of sod! We'll try to do more posts on the progress of this project.

Spring Skiing

Keith has enjoyed an extended ski season this year. He bikes over to Snow King, skins up the mountain, and enjoys a leisurely ski down - great exercise!

Spring Has Arrived!

Joe, Sharon, Shea, Lane and Riclyn joined us for a Sat. eve and dinner. Here we are on a walk to the creek where Shea and Tyler thoroughly enjoyed throwing rocks in the water.

Almost Twins! Boyd and Lane were born exactly one week apart last May. Hard to believe they're almost a year old now!

Thank you to everyone who sent gifts for the boys' birthdays! We are having so much fun with the toys and enjoying the books, music, and clothes too!

Boyd is making progress in the mobility department. He crawls quite well now and enjoys pulling himself up behind this walker (thanks again, John and Karrie) and going for short strolls.

Last Saturday we joined Michael and his friends at Pizza Hut for his birthday party. Tyler and Michael are only two weeks apart in age.

Boyd just learned how to clap!

Both boys are getting over colds - hence the puffy eyes and red noses. They are finally sleeping better at night and feeling much better today.

Another fun activity - racing on the toy cars. Roy and Betty just handed down the car Tyler is riding and Boyd's walker converts to the car he is riding. His legs are a little too short to reach the ground yet :0)

Our Bozeman Rendezvous

Two weeks ago the boys and I took off on a spontaneous trip to meet Dad, Mom, Alison and her kids in Bozeman. We had a splendid time! The first evening we ate at the Outback Steak House. Here's Colter feeding Boyd.

Next morning at the motel. Maya and Boyd. The boys just loved spending time with their cousins. We hadn't seen them since Christmas, so Boyd took a few hours to warm up, but Tyler was excited from the get-go.

We met Auntie Kay and Cousin Aiden at the mall for a little shopping. Colter and Tyler enjoyed trying out the lawn mowing equipment in front of the Sears store.

Uh oh, who let these loonies off the funny farm! We spent a few hours soaking up chlorine and acting like amphibious monkeys.

One afternoon we visited the Museum of the Rockies. I wish I would have allowed more time, there is so much to see there. We enjoyed a huge dinosaur exhibit, a planetarium show and another exhibit on how toys work.

Our last evening we enjoyed a scrumptious dinner at Santa Fe Red's. What a wonderful time. Sometimes the most enjoyable times are the ones we jump into on a whim!

Happy To Be Three

We had a little party for Tyler on Sun. April 5th. He enjoyed his cake and ice cream, but not nearly as much as this little remote control tower crane.
