Tyler suprised me this morning when he grabbed this empty contact case off the counter and pretended to put contacts in his eyes...I really had a good laugh:)!
Then he decided there were enough to go around and wanted to put contacts in my eyes too!

Ah yes, Daddy's sanding the edges with the hand-held orbital sander (like a random orbital sander on steroids!) Then he came back and did the corners with a sqare random orbital - I never even knew such a thing existed, but it sure made short work out of those corners.

The bedrooms are all painted now. That means 1 coat of sealer and two coats of paint on all the walls and trim, plus the ceilings were all scraped, sealed, retextured, primed and painted twice - WHEW! Glad to be done with that!
We had so much wonderful help with packing and moving. Joe, Sharon, and Shay came as well as Willis and Kathy who just happened to be in town and were game for a little evening entertainment:)
Johnny, Ellen and Georgine come to help paint. Johnny and Ellen returned earlier this week to help some more with the final coats in the bedrooms.
This was quite a sight Sunday morning. A mama moose came meandering up to the road with her two calves. She looked our direction as we slowed to a stop and then catiously jumped the guardrail and crossed the road, the calves following. We held our breath, hoping now cars would come zipping around the corner in the other direction. They had a safe crossing, and we enjoyed the friendly encounter.
Scraping the texture off the ceiling. Looks easy here, but is prooving quite challenging in other areas.
The first load to the dump. Mostly carpet and pad and various curtain rods and window coverings. Feels so good to have it out of the house!
Tyler helps scrub the walls and floor and gets soaking wet in the process. Ah well, it keeps him entertained for awhile so Mommy can get a few things done.
