Monte was born at 4:25am on September 15th - his due date! Labor and delivery went well, and we're so thankful to have a healthy baby. Grandma Judy was here to help us and we were so grateful for that. And a big THANK YOU to each one who has so kindly helped out as we attempt to adjust to our larger family and responsibilities!

Keith put these photo collages together the other day, so I thought it would be nice to share them in a Memory Lane Monday post. I sure enjoyed going back to each of their days of birth and reliving those precious moments. Fun to see them side by side - so similar and yet different too!

Welcome Baby Monte!

We are so very happy for the arrival of another boy into our family! Monte was born at 4:25am. He weighed in at 7lbs. 15oz. and measured 21in. long. He is healthy, Mommy and Daddy are doing well, and his big brothers absolutely adore him. We couldn't possibly ask for more!

My How Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Memory Lane: Just Before Baby

Well, it's not Monday, but here's a memory lane post anyway! The above photo was taken two and a half years ago, just days before Boyd was born. And below is a photo taken just last Sunday on Rick and Julia's camera at Bob and Mary's. Like the picture above, this will likely be the last family photo before we add a whole new member!

We've had such a nice time with Rick and Julia here and I have LOTS of pictures of our VERY full past few days. I will share those in a later post. Thanks to everyone for B-day wishes, cards and phone calls. I had a wonderful birthday this year!

House Tour and Summer Picnic

Last weekend was THB's annual summer board retreat and company picnic. The boys and I joined Keith, along with board members, owners and employees at noon for a tour of this house and then a delicious BBQ dinner in the evening.This home has many standout features, but what I liked best were the many stone patios. This large one on the back side includes a fireplace, outdoor kitchen and dining area, a huge custom hot tub, and a fire pit with seating. Can you imagine such a place to hang out on a warm summer evening?!
The home is situated on a golf course with beautiful Teton views. This timber frame arched entry funnels all the way through the house to a similar arched back entry. Keith has been project manager on this job for the past year and a half.
Here we are finishing up lunch on a large patio under the back entry. The owner of the house is the blond man in the green T-shirt and khakis in the foreground. I'm always amused at the personalities and profiles of the owners of these large homes. There are no two alike - that's for sure!

The picnic took place at a park in Wilson. Jes (the office manager) brought all kinds of things to keep the kids entertained, but the real hit was this pinata. Here, Tyler gears up to take a swing. Boyd's turn.

Jes had to be the one to finally break it open with a metal bat! The kids dove in and filled up bags with candy. Here are some of the girls enjoying their treats. It was an enjoyable evening for all of us.

And now, what will another year bring? More projects and another picnic to celebrate everyone's efforts? It's hard to say, but we can always hope.
