Morning Hike

Walk In Progress

Tyler's walking has improved dramatically this week. I'm so surprised when I turn around and see him following me "on foot!" He seems to be more and more tickled with being able to carry himself about in an upright fashion. Speaking of fashion - check out the sun glasses!

Afternoon at the River

Tyler had a rough afternoon, Thursday, and refused to participate in any activities remotely related to naptaking. So, we packed a few things and went to the river. This was more to preserve Mommy's sanity than anything. It worked! Tyler had a blast splashing in the water, sqishing his fingers in the mud, and tasting all the rocks. Mom regained some mental stability watching the river flow by and her son enjoying the afternoon.

Climbing the King

Tyler and I pledged to do 20 climbs this summer. So far we've made 2 summits together. Here we are today at the top and it is VERY windy. We had to take our hats off so they wouldn't blow away. Keith is Climbing the King this summer too, but he's peddling instead of hiking.

Catching Up With Grandma

Grandma Sue came home with us after our Boise trip for a couple days. It was wonderful to spend time catching up with her. Here Tyler enjoys a relaxing shoulder massage. Thank you Grandma, and thank you Grandpa Marvin for sharing!

Marathon Weekend

We left Jackson Fri. evening and spent the night at Joe and Sharon's in Chester. Tyler enjoyed seeing chickens and petting horses for the first time. The next morning we headed for Rexburg. We didn't actually run a marathon, but we did do the 10k Teton Dam Run. It was so much fun! Grandma Sue took care of Tyler during the race. We met up with Josie in I.F., dropped off Sue's car at John and Ellen's, and drove to Boise. We met up with Josie's brother Jim and transfered her to him, rushed to our motel, showered and dressed, and then went to Lenora and Eric's wedding and reception. It was a beautiful setting along the river. We stayed at a motel with Dale and Kari and little baby Rowena. Tyler was pretty facinated by his new little cousin. We went to meeting with Lloyd and Jenny and ate lunch at their house before hitting the road back to I.F. where we picked up Sue's car and went on home to Jackson. Whew, we were all exhausted and slept like babies - good babies that is:)

Generally Out of Sorts

For the past 3 days now, Tyler has been working on all four 1-year molars! He's been out of sorts, low on sleep and low on patients. I hope he doesn't think we're doing this to him!

Photoshopping

These are actually four pictures I took of Riclyn when we were out hiking last week. She merged them all together using Photoshop to create this cool collage! She says you can really have a lot of fun "photoshopping!" I might have to try a few things myself.

One Fine Day

Little T-bear went hiking one fine day.

What did you see as you went on your way?

I saw chipmunks and squirls, flowers and bees.

I saw lots of sage brush and big green trees.

I saw lakes and streams and giant water falls.

I even listened to different bird calls.

I saw mountains with peaks still covered in snow.

I saw bright blue sky and big clouds on the go.

We wandered the trails till we couldn't walk anymore.

Mommy is tired and I think she'll be sore!

We'll do it again though, before it turns cold.
