Tyler and Boyd are getting along quite well.....under close supervision. Tyler is going through a bit of a jealousy stage at the moment and needs frequent reminding that he loves his little brother and needs to be gentle with him. One thing he is constantly asking to do though, is to "hold Baby Boyd." This is great bonding time, because when Boyd is in his arms he treats him with tender loving care.
Hey, how many wah-wahs does a wild-hair, two-year-old need? One of those looks suspicously like your baby brothers.

Very cute post of our favorite Wyoming Nephews! Hee Hee! How many wah-wahs do you need Tyler? That looks very much like something Kyla did to her baby brother when she was your age!!!
Hope you have wonderful 4th with Grandma and Grandpa. Wish we could be there too!
Love ya, Auntie Alison
Truman looking at his "buddy Tyler" again, and loving every minute.
We've been through the new baby thing with an older sibling 4 times now so maybe we are qualified to offer some advice? If not, ignore it!! We've NEVER had jealousy issues, and we attribute it to either luck or the combination of these 3 things:
1. Older brother/sister is there at the birth of new baby. This allows them to see exactly where baby came from and cannot be returned (like to a store!)
2. We talk in term of how much the baby loves big brother/sister. Because big brother/sister is at a very egocentric age, they love to hear about how much someone loves THEM instead of how much they are supposed to love this new creature!
3. We "talk" for the baby and ask big brother/sister questions that puff the big brother/sister. For example, "When I grow up will you teach me to (fill in the blank) like you do so I can be just like you?" (spoken in baby voice) We also talk about how much they GET TO DO that baby doesn't...for example eat ice cream, play on the slide, and other fun stuff so they get the idea they should feel sorry for baby rather than jealous that baby gets things they don't (like extra time with mom.)
Hope something here helps...

Audrey,
I appreciate your thoughts. Some had never crossed my mind, but do sound helpful. Thank you for sharing.

Hi
Nice to peek in on your blog again and get a little update. The boys are very precious! Wish I could have popped in with Grandma & Grandpa this weekend - but, hope to get your way sometime before too long. Looking forward to meeting Boyd now too.
Happy 4th!
Love,
Aunt MaryAnn
