Gardening - Days 1 & 2

I'm excited to be growing a little vegetable and herb garden this year. I used the old chimney/fireplace stones to make the border and a walkway through the garden. That was Sat. (Day 1). Then yesterday (Day 2), the boys helped me turn over some sod and work the soil a bit. What fun just to sit in the dirt, dig for worms, and throw clumps of sod! We'll try to do more posts on the progress of this project.

How COOL to use the old fireplace stones! NEAT! Can't wait to see the progress.

Last night Randy worked on raking up and removing all the bark from our landscaping in front and we're now gonna replace it with rock. Rock won't blow away right? We won't need to sweep it off the patio every day right? Yay, the joys of homeowning!!;)

Looks great! We've been working in our garden a lot too lately. I have to keep one eye on Benjamin otherwise he'll trample the lettuce leaves! p.s. we're having another boy!
