Way out on the prairie, tucked among the rolling wheat fields, lies a special place called Devon Convention. On most days of the year, it's just another dry-land wheat farm, grain bins, shops, rows of equipment, a farm house and a farm dog.

These photos hardly begin to capture the experience of convention. Mostly they jog my memory and bring to mind the sweeter pictures, the ones in my heart, not uploadable to a computer.
On our return trip we brought Kimbria to Manhattan and snuck in a quick visit with Teresa! Then on to Kay's for another quick visit and a peek at little Alex. Special!
Now we're back home, back to work, grocery shopping, cooking, wading through mountains of laundry, fighting colds, etc. But there's a smile on my heart. And things don't seem so bad. Quite good in fact! And once again I'm reminded, convention is always worth it, no matter what the cost!
