Remodel Progress

Finally the piano finds a spot in the living room on the newly finished floor.

We started up on the remodel project again by tearing out the fire place, patching in the hole, texturing and painting the ceilings and walls in the kitchen, dining, living and entry. Then, last Thur. evening, Keith's friend, Brooks, came to help him instal cabinets.

They finished what they could with cabinets Fri. evening and then Sat. morning Paul and Damion showed up to start on the wood floor.

Getting the first line installed.

Keith, applying the glue.

Almost finished installing.

The ladies and kids in the camper, trying to stay out from under foot. We had a great game of monopoly going and two of the three babies are fast asleep:0)

Applying the filler.

Sanding the filler.

Damion getting in the corners.
Thanks to all the wonderful help, we are well on our way to moving into our remodeled space. The kitchen just needs counter tops, fixtures, and appliances. The painting is almost complete. In fact, Keith and Tyler are working on it as I write. I have been knocked flat with a little flu bug, so quite out of commission all day. I guess it has allowed me to finally update the blog. Hope everyone is having a wonderful fall!

WOW! You're coming right along with the house project. Can't wait to see it. I'm having a little emotional reaction here to seeing Grandma Darling's piano all set up and being played again. It looks beautiful. So glad it's in the hands of two fine musicians, and two future musicians. Grandma Darling/Hetherington would be very proud! Enjoy!
