Big Sky Tour and Summer Picnic

Last weekend we enjoyed a tour of the THB Bigsky projects. All of these projects are in Spanish Peaks, a development just under the Yellowstone Club. These homeowners have access to their own private golf course in the summer and ski resort in the winter.

The siding in this dormer is 12x12 squares of tree bark.

A Spanish Peaks cabin. When this development is complete, there will be something like 70 of these little cabins. I think they will be mostly for short term vacation rentals.

View from the living room of the cabin.

We toured this house at Christmas time when they were just starting the framing, so it was fun to see it almost complete. The owners want to be moved in by Thanksgiving and it looks like that should be no problem.

This house features a bridge across the front entry connecting the two second story guest wings.

After the tours we took a drive into Bozeman to give the boys a good afternoon nap. Then we joined the rest of the employees, board members, and their families at the Gourmet Gas Station for a delicious dinner, visiting and games. These girls took Tyler under their wing. He sure enjoyed his time with them.
The rest of the weekend, though very much enjoyed, was not captured on camera. Keith spent some time casting flies on the Yellowstone and the boys and I hung out with Kay, Todd and cousin Aiden. Sunday was wonderful too; meeting at McLeod's, lunch with Shirley and girls, and Kay and Todd, and a relaxing trip home.

Glad to hear Keith is feeling well now. What a GRAND weekend. Quite the houses-huh?
Sometimes the greatest moments are those we don't capture on camera but I'm sure your hearts are full now. Take care and maybe I'll be able to call you later today!

Love, your sis
