I decided to start with where my Memory Lane begins - in the early 80's. This picture of my sister and I jogs my first memories of childhood. Memories of being very close to my sister. Memories of people always asking if we were twins, and my sister sulking about that! Memories of Mom making us new dresses for special occasions. I can still see her hands trembling as she hurried to hem the last seems before she packed them into our suitcases for convention!

And this picture brings the beloved memories of my sweet brother to mind. Memories of him lying on his back on the living room floor while I sat next to him and fed him his bottle. Memories of his sweet, patient disposition as we sisters tried our best to mother him. And memories of all three of us getting so excited to see "Daddy's" pick-up coming down the long driveway, watching out the big picture window in the living room till he got out and walked toward the house, then diving into the coat closet and waiting for him to come find us after greeting "Mommy" with a kiss!
I wouldn't trade these memories for anything!

These are the BEST memories! Thanks so much for sharing them. I love these picture! :)
P.S. Look at those dresses Mom made us! So pretty. Sometimes I feel like I should be making my girls dresses like mom did...
Love those pictures!! but then why wouldn't I, cause they're my little sweethearts & still are.
Love, Mom
What a sweet post, Melinda! I have to confess to a bit of a shock when you mentioned your first memories being from the early 80's. I graduated from high school in 1980 which doesn't seem that long ago, but now those cute little girls in the picture have little kids of their own!
Love these pictures!!!! What a neat idea to post pictures from the past!
