Attempted Family Photo

Last Saturday we dressed in our matching outfits, fixed our hair and dawned our winter coats and hats. Then we set out on a family photo adventure. Our photographer friend was too busy to accompany us, so we had to rely on the timer. Well, we found the perfect spot, not too far from the road, and a setting on the camera that would take a picture every two seconds. Great! The kids and I marched out across the snow and perched ourselves on the fence while Keith set up the camera. Then he ran out to take his place.....

.....these are the only two pictures we got. Turns out the camera only takes two pictures on that setting. We would have tried again except our toddler unit proceeded to melt down and we had to cut the adventure short. We took the following picture at home, but.....well, you can see it's not the greatest. We'll have to try again some other time:)

We are tentatively planning to be there again this year Feb. 13, 14, 15 and 16 so maybe we'll take the time to go somewhere fun and take some family pictures if you still need them by then.
Will you be home that weekend? It's always a weekend that you guys are going somewhere too! We'll talk before then. I have your phone number.

Reminds me of our family pictures -- usually done on Sunday after meeting but before lunch when we were all dressed up and still clean. For some reason, by the time we all got situated to Dad's satisfaction, we were grumpy. That might be the reason why nobody ever smiled in old-fashioned pictures!

Cute pictures and story to go along with it! What's wrong with the second shot? Are you just being a little bit picky Keith? :) Oh, I guess you can't see Tyler!

Miss you guys! HAve a great week!
