Memory Lane Monday: Ronan

My memory lane wanderings take me down a long dirt road to emerald green foothills under majestic blue mountains. As a child, I travelled this road with much excitement and anticipation every spring. The destination: Ronan preps and convention.
This old barn greets you at the entrance to the grounds. There are many other unique buildings and landmarks on the grounds, all of which bring back interesting and sweet memories. My early years were definitely shaped and effected deeply by my experiences in this special place.
And now I'm thinking of my family and friends as they gather there this week. My heart is there, though I can't be there in person. Someday, I want to take my children to Ronan and share with them my special memories.

I feel the same way about that special place, Melinda. To this day, the sound of birds chirping in the early morning transports me back in a flash.

I like what you did to this picture! Great memories too! I like what Shirley said about the birds chirping-true for me too! Also the smell of wood smoke hanging in the air and the sound of gentle rain falling on a tin roof! :)

Wish you could be here. Maybe someday! ;)

I love your description of Ronan, Melinda. We were trying to decide what to put on some postcards that I had made....too bad we decided before I saw your blog!!!
