Braaten Family Reunion - Day 2

My sweet little nieces: Sarah and Emma. Behind them you can see some of the resort where the reunion was held just north of Eureka, MT. We stayed in one of those little cabins like you see in the background.

Dad, Mom and brother John. So fun to spend time with them.
Headed out to enjoy little Sofie Lake for the afternoon.
Watch out for the Lake Monster!

Back at the resort, we enjoyed a prime rib dinner, complete with salad, baked potato, and strawberry shortcake! Then we lined up on the back porch for pictures. Below are Mary and Helen, grandma Alice's two remaining sisters. One brother is alive as well, but in very poor health and wasn't able to come. Great grandma and grandpa Braaten had nine children and nearly all of them were represented by their children and grandchildren at this reunion.
Five of grandma Alice's children and their spouses: Johnny and Ellen, Judy and Steve, Marcia and Kevin, Mary Ann, and Dave and Denay.
Alice's children and grandchildren. Keith, Jolene, Randy, and Alison and their families had been with us, but weren't able to stay for the pictures.
Great Uncle Henry's children and spouses: Ed (with baby Emmalynn), Steve and Jeanie, Duane and Jannette, Dale and Bonnie, Keith and Cindy, Elaine and Dan.
Henry's children and grandchildren.
There were many others, but I wasn't able to get them all photographed. It's amazing to think of Grandma and Grandpa Braaten coming over here from Norway, homesteading in eastern MT, and starting their little family. It's not so little anymore! It was good to spend time with them all!
