Monday morning we woke early to finish packing and cleaning. Nati and Tere came at 8am to help and we were all ready to go by 9am. We said our good-byes, turned on the GPS, and headed back over 3 curvy mountain passes to Guadalajara.
Applebee's sounded good for lunch :)
We drove downtown to the huge San Juan market. Weaved through masses of people, smelled the stinky fish, sampled sweetbsugar cane, and bought a few souvenirs.
All shopped out!
Monday evening we ate at a restaurant near our motel famous for mariachi bands.
The kids wanted to hear the same song we heard when we were there last summer. It's not the prettiest song, but it tells all about the things that Guadalajara is famous for.
Then it was off to bed. The kids slept in their clothes as it was going to be an early morning. It was a good, but short night.
